Aujourd'hui, à l'occasion de Star Wars celebration, le Groupe LEGO a dévoilé une mosaïque représentant un casque Stormtrooper composée de minifigs Stormtrooper. qui font partie du nouveau set 75262 Imperial Dropship de la collection 20th Anniversary.
La base, qui comprend cinquante-huit plaques de 80 x 80, a été construite en République tchèque. Il a fallu 16 heures pour l'assembler et elle est si grande qu'elle a été envoyée à Chicago en cinq parties. À son arrivée, douze personnes ont passé 38 heures à ajouter les 36440 minfigs - qui ont tous été confirmés comme étant des produits LEGO authentique par David Hall, de Solid Brix Studios.
L'objectif à battre était le record, détenu par LEGO UK, de 35210 minifigs clonetrooper établi en juin 2008 et l'adjointe officielle de Guinness World Book, Christina Conlon, a passé deux jours à compter chacun d'entre eux, puis a vérifié qu'il n'en manquait plus.
